SANTA CLAUS TO VISIT OLDSMAR - December 13 - December 17, 2011
Oldsmar Fire Rescue is once again sponsoring a childrens' holiday program that features a personal visit from Santa Claus to homes in the City of Oldsmar. Visiting dates to homes are set by a lottery system.
Families should mail a 3 x 5 card with their NAME, ADDRESS & DAY-TIME PHONE NUMBER clearly printed on the card. The card should be mailed to Oldsmar Fire Rescue, 225 Pine Ave. N., Oldsmar, Fl. 34677. Cards will be received thru November 15th. These cards will be put into a box and after the cut-off date is over there will be a drawing. As each card is drawn that household will be called and their appointment set. After setting their appointment, the parents are to bring a small, gift-wrapped present for their child to the fire station during the week of December 5TH thru December 9th. The gift should have their child’s name, address and the date and time of Santa’s visit written clearly on the outside of the package.
Santa and his elves, riding a fire truck, will visit the children in the evenings from December 13th thru December 17th and Santa will bring the child their present at that time. If there is a group of children, packages should be wrapped as above, put into a large plastic garbage bag, with the last name of the host family, address and date and time of Santa’s visit on the outside of the bag. ** ONE bag per household **
The fire department also participates in the TOYS FOR TOTS program and requests that the families that participate in the Santa program help the less fortunate by bringing a small, unwrapped NEW toy, for the TOYS FOR TOTS bin (ages newborn to 14 yrs.) All donations for the Toys for Tots program must be to the fire station by December 9th.
